Olive Mary Stitt Elementary School's "Hunger Doesn't Take a Summer Vacation" Food Drive was a huge success! Students and staff donated more than 300 bags of food and a small mountain of paper products to help the Wheeling Township Food Pantry during the upcoming summer months. Thanks to all of you for your caring and hard work!
The Wheeling Township Food Pantry is stocked by donations from individuals, families, businesses, and organizations in our community. We offer our sincere thanks to all who have been so generous in helping to make the food pantry available to those in need.
The Food Pantry is stocked by donations received from the community. Wheeling Township residents who need food due to financial difficulties may use the pantry. Please call 847-259-7730 for more information and an appointment.
With the exception of a slight cost for a staff person overseeing the pantry, Wheeling Township's Food Pantry is funded almost entirely with donations from the community -- food items and cash donations are received regularly. Over forty dedicated, hard working volunteers sort the food, keep the shelves stocked, and guide residents through the client choice shopping process. Visit our "Volunteer" site for information on various volunteer opportunities.
